Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival (April 2 – 8)
The event listing for this years’ festival is off the charts. In its 9th consecutive year as a Miami mainstay, this week-long event is full of nonstop happenings. From day one, with the gay pride flag-raising at City Hall and the Miss Miami Beach Gay Pride Pageant, to extravagant parades and parties on the final day, if you come to Miami for one event this year, it should be this one. Outshine Film Festival (April 20 – 29)
Celebrate the 20th anniversary of this cultural festival that represents the LGBTQ experience through film. This cultural event is a great way to show support for talented filmmakers and for the gay and lesbian community. Sizzle Miami (May 24 – 28)
This one’s primarily for the guys, but is open to anyone 21 and over. If you like a wild party atmosphere, Sizzle might be for you. This urban “circuit party” celebrates pride by baring a lot of skin. Over Memorial Day weekend, this LGBT party will take you from hot live performances to steamy nightlife events. Offering LGBTQ mini-theater performances and art-themed events, this is a unique offering brought to you by Fundarte.
